Music with soul..

Peter Malmstrøm (PAM) has played the piano since pre-school. Inspired by a Jean Michel Jarre concert in mid 80´s at the Madame Toussaus Museum in London, he started experimenting with electronic music. Throughout the 1990´ies Peter spend as much time as he could in recording-studios in London and Paris studying and learning recording and production. Peter have worked his way through all kinds of studios, including among others Abbey Road and The Church as well as long gone small recording-studios in London’s vibrant Soho, and Paris Pigale.. Years later in 1996 Peter founded the Euro-Sound Studio as an outlet for the creative mind and to have a place of his own to collaborate and record. The studio was small, money tight and located in a dark cellar in Copenhagen. The place however quickly became a creative powerhouse with lots of artists giving creative input.

The project was named "Travel" and did get some attention and recognition but never really took off. The period saw scores for several student projects at the Danish Film-school. It wasn’t until 2000 where Peter moved to central Copenhagen and set the studio up in his new flat that commercial work began to come in and things started to happen. Peter scored soundscapes for several media-companies, eventually ending up in documentaries, commercials, and American soap operas. Working for both indie and major recording-companies and artists, Peter has earned a reputation for commitment as well as strong opinions on sound and production.
As Peter put it himself:
"To make a long story short I have been involved in music pretty much all my life. I have been working with a long, - or short (depends how you see it..) list of nice artists over the years, famous and not so famous.
I..m proberlly better known as Skantkin, - or at least that have been my artistname for many years. Most of my own projects have been written for film, not that I have ever felt it to be my main genre. The last year I have been working with Pelle Fridell, - the most awesome sax-player, and the fruits can be heard on the latest tunes (Air)
(2008 Album red.)."
